Driving Directions from the 101

When Travelling Northbound:
  • Exit at the Carrillo St. off-ramp.
  • Turn right onto Carrillo St.
  • Get into the left hand lane and continue through 3 stop lights.
  • At the 4th stop light turn left onto Chapala St.
  • Continue on Chapala St. through 1 stop light.
  • Don Q will be on the right side of the second block immediately proceeding the city parking lot.
When Traveling Southbound:
  • Exit at the Carrillo St. off-ramp.
  • Turn left onto Carrillo St.

  • At the 5th stop light turn left onto Chapala St.
  • Continue on Chapala St. through 1 stop light.

Traveling by Bus:

The MTD Transit Center and Greyhound Bus Station are located 1 block south of Don Q Billiards making getting to the pool hall without a car easy. Stop by next time you are waiting for your bus.

Our Neighborhood

The neighborhood surrounding Don Q Billiards is filled with many great restuarants. Don Q is adjacent to The Hungry Cat which serves some of Santa Barbara's best sea food complimented by unique cocktails. A few steps away are Los Arroyos and Gino's Sicilian Express. Los Arroyos is a great choice for Mexican food. They prepare quality meals quickly and have a flavorful salsa bar. Gino's Sicilian Express is a hole in the wall pizza place that is a hidden gem for those who are still not in the know. Their amazing thin crust pizza and well priced specials make this a locals favorite for lunch or dinner. Go a little further and you will run into Chase Bar & Grill. The Chase Bar & Grill serves the best chicken parmesan in town and has a well priced happy hour with $5 items that are sure to satisfy.

Other great spots in the area include China Pavilion, Palazzio, Milk and Honey, Arigato, Sushi Teri, Norton's Pastrami, Savoy Cafe & Deli, and Peet's Coffee.

We are a few blocks away from the Santa Barbara Courthouse, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, the Granada Theater, and the Santa Barbara Public Library. First time visitors to the area should take a trip to see the beautiful courthouse. Viewed during the day or after sunset this building is a site to be seen.

The downtown nightlife is also within walking distance so if you are looking for a good place to start or end your night, Don Q Billiards is a great spot.
